AN ODE TO CHARACTER

Every so often, I have the pleasure of photographing a celebration that feels entirely its own. Jordan and Kael’s summer wedding at Virginia House in Richmond was one of those occasions, unfolding at a venue that felt straight out of an old film. Against the estate’s stone walls, romantic arches, and lush gardens, their ceremony carried a sense of quiet European grandeur, with an effortless balance of modern artistry and old-world romance.

There was something beautifully distinctive about their celebration. From Kael’s cream suit to Jordan’s sculptural bouquet, every detail felt entirely their own. Following their romantic ceremony at Virginia House, the celebration continued at Havana 59, a lively Cuban bar in downtown Richmond. The evening unfolded over mojitos, laughter, and Buena Vista Social Club, before the two made their entrance to Billie Jean dressed in handwoven lace.

What moved me most was the balance of artistry and genuine emotion. A wedding that felt effortlessly refined yet wonderfully alive, where fashion, individuality, and the beautiful chaos of human connection existed in perfect harmony.
